Item 8.01 .    Other Events .

 

Investar Holding Corporation (the “Company”), the holding company for Investar Bank (the “Bank”), deeply regrets to report the death of Director Robert L. Freeman, who passed away on May 16, 2016. Mr. Freeman served as a director of the Bank since 2011 and as a director of the Company since 2013. Mr. Freeman was also a member of the Company’s Audit Committee. Mr. Freeman will be greatly missed by both the Company and the community in which he served.
