Investar Bank in Ville Platte Welcomes Newest Loan Officer

Baton Rouge, La. – Investar Bank recently hired Jeannie M. Fontenot as a Vice President and Branch Loan Officer in our Evangeline market. Fontenot has 23 years’ experience in banking and joins Investar most recently from Whitney Bank where she was a lender.

As a Branch Loan Officer, Fontenot provides the highest level of customer service and is responsible for growing and maintaining a diverse loan portfolio made up of mortgage, consumer and business lending. She enjoys assisting customers in meeting their financial needs and personal goals.

Fontenot is actively involved in the Ville Platte community. She currently serves as a Director on many church and civic Boards: Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, Louisiana Braford Breeders Association, Sacred Heart Booster Club, Sacred Heart PTC, McNeese State University Alumni and Louisiana’s Cattleman’s Association.

Fontenot is a native of Sulphur and is a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance and Economics. Fontenot is a graduate of LSU’s Graduate School of Banking.
