Dane Babin Joins Investar Bank as Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President
Baton Rouge, October 20, 2015 - Investar Bank recently announced that Dane Babin has assumed the role of Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President, where he will be responsible for leading the advancement of workflow improvements and efficiency.
"Babin brings over 20 years of banking experience to the Bank," stated Investar Bank's President and CEO, John D'Angelo. "Our goal is to reduce expenses from our current delivery systems through automation and utilization of our current technology."
Babin previously served as the Chief Information Officer of a bank headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a native of Baton Rouge, where he currently resides. Babin attended Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences. He is currently a board member of the Baton Rouge Food Bank and the Co-Founder and Treasurer of Justcausela, a non-profit organization.
Investar Bank had total assets of $921.9 million as of June 30, 2015.
