Investar Welcomes Michael DePaul as Financial Planning & Analysis Director

Baton Rouge, La. – Investar Bank, National Association (“Investar”) recently hired Michael “Mike” DePaul as its Financial Planning and Analysis Director, Senior Vice President. DePaul has 36 years of finance and accounting experience. He joins Investar most recently from SIF Consultants of Louisiana, which is the service company for LUBA Casualty Insurance Company where DePaul was the Chief Operating Officer for 10 years. Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for eight years with SIF Consultants of Louisiana.

In the role of Financial Planning and Analysis Director, DePaul will assist with the forecasting of financial information to support overall strategy and decision making. He will be responsible for developing the annual budget to enhance efficiencies in operational standards and effectiveness. DePaul will also support corporate development including merger and acquisition initiatives.

DePaul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management with a concentration in accounting from Tulane University. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification with the State of Louisiana.
