Investar Welcomes Coby Comeaux as Chief Commercial Credit Officer

Baton Rouge, La. – Investar Bank, National Association (“Investar”) recently created a new senior position and hired Coby Comeaux as its Chief Commercial Credit Officer and Senior Vice President. Comeaux has over 22 years of banking experience. He joins Investar most recently from Hancock Whitney (HW) where he was the Portfolio Group Manager for six years. Prior to HW he was the Commercial Credit Manager at MidSouth Bank for five years.

As the Chief Commercial Credit Officer Comeaux provides support, direction, credit information, and loan policies and procedures for Investar’s Commercial Credit Division. His responsibility is to maintain the overall credit quality of the Investar’s commercial loan portfolio.

Comeaux holds two higher education degrees: a Bachelor’s in finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a native of Delcambre, Louisiana and has worked his entire banking career in Lafayette, Louisiana.
