Investar Bank Promotes Marcantel to Evangeline Market President

Baton Rouge, La. – Investar Bank has promoted Matthew “Matt” Marcantel to Evangeline Market President and Senior Vice President. For the past seven years he has served as the Branch Manager of Investar’s Pine Prairie location. Marcantel will oversee the commercial relationship managers in Evangeline Parish while managing a lending portfolio and developing new relationships. He will also oversee the mortgage and retail teams in Evangeline. Marcantel has more than 30 years’ experience in banking, specifically in retail, credit and lending.

Marcantel resides in Oakdale with his family. He is involved in the community and currently serves as the Oakdale Lions Club Vice President. He has also coached softball at Pine Prairie High School and Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte.
